Business leader, fashion enthusiast, and a recognized figure in Canada's leather goods industry, Johanne Boivin began her career with the Yellow Group before founding her own accessories company in 1991. Through Joanel Inc., she established three successful brands—Ugo Santini, Mouflon, and Joanel—positioning the company as a true trendsetter in the accessories market.

As the global licensing partner for Cirque du Soleil accessories, Johanne's creativity and innovative vision drove the company's success. She has been recognized as a La Presse Personality of the Year and honoured by the YWCA for her entrepreneurial achievements. She also received the Conservation and Cultural Preservation Award in recognition of her commitment to sustainable development and her environmentally responsible heritage headquarters. A recipient of the Quebec Businesswoman Award, Johanne led one of the first companies to be certified by WeConnect for supplier diversity. Her company also earned two Dunamis Awards from the Laval Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recognizing its investment projects and excellence as Distributor/Wholesaler of the Year.

After leading her company for 25 years, Johanne was approached by a competitor to establish a North American women's accessories division. In 2015, she sold her brands to the corporation and joined the organization as Executive Vice President.

In June 2016, Johanne was appointed Brand Director for Céline Dion Accessories, where she led the development of the brand's identity and its international growth strategy.

Alongside her professional career, Johanne has remained deeply committed to giving back to the community. She has supported organizations such as the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and La Rue des Femmes, served on several boards of directors, and regularly speaks at conferences and events for organizations including Chambers of Commerce, the Ordre des CPA du Québec, and HEC Montréal.
