Shirlane Day brings more than 30 years of experience as a chief executive, senior leader, and strategist in the development of non-profit organizations at the local, regional, and national levels. Recognized for her collaborative leadership, strategic vision, and disciplined approach, she now combines this extensive experience with her work as a professional executive coach, supporting executives, managers, and professionals in their leadership development.

A true builder, Shirlane founded the Outaouais Crime Victims Assistance Centre (CAVAC) in 1989, a remarkable achievement that launched her leadership career. She later served as Executive Director of Centraide Outaouais before becoming Vice President, Quebec at Centraide Canada, where she exercised influential leadership and helped negotiate strategic agreements benefiting the 124 member organizations of the Centraide–United Way network.

From 2009 to 2021, Shirlane transformed the Institut Pacifique into an internationally recognized leader in violence and bullying prevention. Under her leadership, the organization was named an Outstanding Partner by the Government of Quebec and received the Lieutenant Governor's Medal. She also led the organization's first major capital campaign, raising funds for the expansion of a landmark facility. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, she received the Outstanding Career in Philanthropy Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Quebec Chapter.

More recently, Shirlane served as Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Québec, where she strengthened the organization's position as a leading player in social housing and oversaw a residential development project that enabled six families to achieve homeownership.

Passionate about governance, organizational development, and leadership growth, Shirlane has served on numerous boards of directors and continues to be actively involved in governance. She completed the Foundations of Governance micro-program offered by the College of Corporate Directors, further strengthening an expertise that has been a defining feature of her career.

Shirlane holds a Master's degree in Criminology, a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration, and has completed professional training in mediation and executive coaching. She is distinguished by her strategic mindset, human-centered leadership, and her ability to inspire both teams and communities.
